Contemporary studio apartment just off Place Rossetti with view of Ste Reparate cathedral. 3 minutes to the beach & Cours Saleya: tranquil niche above the pedestrianised warren of art galleries, boulangeries, shops, cafes and restaurants on a quiet street walking distance from the Parc du Chateau, the Port of Nice, Promenade des Anglais and the Carre d'Or.
Thoughtfully decorated in classic modern style to provide a deluxe counterpoint to the historical surroundings, the living area is furnished with a top-range Italian leather sofabed, flatscreen TV, DVD player with great film library, guidebooks, plus Matisse and Cocteau artworks. 
Space is divided into distinct living areas with separate lighting schemes, the spacious feel enhanced by contemporary tiled flooring throughout.
Solid oak counters add the finishing touch to a fully fitted kitchen, kitted out with everything you might need to take advantage of the fabulous local produce.  Fridge/freezer, 4-ring ceramic hob, fan oven, even a dishwasher & stainless steel splashback, are teamed with pots, pans, ovenware, table, flat- and glassware, all carefully selected to maximise your enjoyment with the minimum of fuss - or washing up!
The dining area's marble table seats two comfortably and the living area is equipped with nesting side tables.
The ltalian leather sofa unfolds to reveal four pillows and a proper mattress with sprung base, transforming into a bed fit for a luxurious night's sleep. 
Wifi internet access is complimentary and an office area with desk lies at the back of the apartment.
A washing machine for small loads is concealed behind doors;  a cute laundry basket, lines and pegs are provided so you can really live the Nicoise life!  The sunny west-facing balcony with its gentle air currents will minimise eco-drying time.
A rare delight in the Old Town, our balcony enjoys afternoon sunshine.  It is furnished with a teak bench and foldaway table - perfect for sunbathing, lounging and dining in the Mediterranean ambiance provided by the surrounding colourful walls and traditional green shutters.  (It also benefits from the relative privacy of few overlooking neighbours!)
Pont Vieux Nice is on the 4th floor and there is no lift, HOWEVER, unlike many Old Town residences, the marble staircase with frescoed ceiling is well-lit, wide and shallow-stepped with spacious landings at each floor.  In fact, many of our guests have commented on what a pleasure it is to climb - better than a gym any day. That being said, we regret it is not wheelchair-friendly nor suitable for the infirm.
Another unusual characteristic is the exceptional space around the apartment: facing buildings are set back above the first floor and there are few windows looking onto the property: hard to explain but worthy of note to those familiar with the area.  Many visitors have remarked on the peaceful atmosphere of this exceptional apartment.
Rentals are charged in £ sterling at £295 /£360 /£420 weekly and include local Meet & Greet, bed & bath linens and utilities plus a complimentary welcome basket.
