This is an absolutely fabulous old water mill that was originally built in the 16th century. The stone master house dates back to 1830. The mill is in a village that lies at the crossroads between Lyon, Bourg en Bresse, Annecy and Chambéry.

Bugey is a famous wine producing area, which tradition again dates back to the Gallo-Roman period. Its famous vineyards produce wine from grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Mondeuse and others. Sporting activities to enjoy in the area include swimming in the gorgeous lakes, boating, windsurfing and canoeing along with land based activities such as mountain biking, tennis and hiking. The Mediterranean can be reached by car in just over three hours with the nearest ski slopes just an hour and a half away.

The closest international airport is in Lyon with Geneva airport just 30 minutes away. The TGV station is also in Lyon and the motorway is just a 5-minute drive.
