The beautiful Vercors Mountains can be seen in the distance and it is separated from its sister town of Bourg de Peage by the pretty River Isère.
The nearest international airports are at Lyon and Grenoble, which are just under an hour away. The TGV station is in Valence, which is just 10 minutes by car. The town is well served by the nearby motorway network.
It is an hour to go skiing in the Grenoble area and a couple of hours to get to the coast for a weekend by the sea.
