You will find Club La Joly in the cosy village La Chapelle d'Abondance in the French Alps at the foot of Europe's largest summer – and winter holiday area, Portes du Soleil. Club La Joly welcomes you in some freestanding chalets on the bank of the Dranse river with a view of the Mont de Grange (2450 m). At the Club's centre is the chalet with its cosy, english style bridge/dining-room, billiards- and darts-room with fireplace . Here, everybody will feel at home soon. Exclusively for its guests, Club La Joly has a Skiing & Golf Shop with the latest equipment, for a complete holiday.
Apartments / Rooms All our chalets are spacious and luxuriously furnished. All apartements have luxury kitchens with fitted appliances (e.g. dishwasher), beautiful bathrooms and excellent beds. Every apartment has TV (satelite). Our park has WIFI internet access (FREE).
The residence has a separate drying area for clothes, skis and shoes. Our residence has a cosy petit-restaurant and après-ski bar, exclusively for guests, where it is possible to play cards, darts, billiards, table-tennis, and to take an excellent breakfast buffet and a succulent 3-course.
Skiing Skiing Residence La Joly in Europe's largest skiing area Portes du Soleil. La domaine le Crêt Beni, the cosy family skiing resort right at your accommodation's doorstep, is an area for excellent and cheap skiing. The resort is part of the 650 km skiing area Portes du Soleil.After your arrival at Club La Joly you no longer have any need for a car. Everything can be reached on foot. Furthermore there is a free bus service running through the entire area, and stopping right at your door.
The resort has 208 ski lifts: 4 cabin lifts, 10 gondola lifts, 83 chair lifts and 112 towing lifts. Furthermore, the 289 prepared pistes are subdivided into: 28 black (very demanding) pistes (100 km), 108 red (average) pistes (380 km), 112 blue (easy) and 41 green (very easy) pistes (170 km).For the real cracks there are 10 snow parks, 3 half-pipes and 1 boardercross (Châtel).
The skiing resort is renowned for its many off-piste activities and is snow-sure from December until the end of April. In order to keep the snow in optimal condition, there are 527 snow cannons.
Golf Clinic In cooperation with Europe's most renowned PGA golf pro Bill Owens, we organize golf clinics for beginners and advanced golf players. This intensive and professional clinic is a guarantee for instant success. Following the clinic you are up to par for the exam for the Dutch GVB Golf Ability Certificate.
