The resort of Valmorel was built in the 1970s across the Maurienne and Tarentaise valleys. In all, Valmorel offers 162km of downhill pistes and 20km of cross-country trails, ideal for off-piste skiing and snowboarding. Apart from the winter sports and pastimes there are also many activities to enjoy during the summer months, including walking, paragliding, rafting, biking, rock climbing and much more.

It takes two hours from Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble airports to reach the village. The motorway is just 15 minutes away and the main road is nearby. The TGV is in Moûtiers, which is just 10 minutes down the road.
