A rural retreat, 15 minutes from the hillside market town of Aubenas, the house is close to the Ardèche river, and the surrounding landscape is dotted with some of the finest castles and most beautiful historic villages to be found anywhere in France: Vogüé, Balazuc and Labeaume.

Two of the four bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms (in the summer used as Chambre d'hotes). The main sitting room has a large fireplace and a balcony with panoramic views of the valley.
There is also a enclosed balcony designed as a study/library, and outside a shady terrace and garden of mature cherry trees. A stream, with a deep secluded swimming hole, is 5 minutes away, and the surrounding countryside is threaded with marked walking tracks.
