This Property is For Sale by Malpen Investments In Mont-Blanc country, Megève is very easily accessed from Sallanches (13 km - motorway exit and TGV train). Conceived in the 1920s as a French alternative to Saint-Moritz, it was the first purpose-built resort in the Alps. It is an enchanting town set in a lovely sunny setting, which has retained its heritage and old rustic charm to become one of the most fashionable resorts in France. It is one of the best resorts in the Alps for non-skiers: It has a beautifully preserved medieval centre - now pedestrianised - with narrow cobbled streets, tastefully restored buildings, a pretty church, horse-drawn sleighs, a weekly market, an open-ice rink and plenty of marked paths for walkers. There are lots of smart clothing, jewellery, food, antique and gift shops. The choice is endless, so much so that if you cannot ski you could do worse than wander round town window-shopping. In short, Megève is a resort to taste the mythic French 'art de vivre'. Skiing Megève has a huge ski area with perfect slopes - mainly set in woods - for intermediate cruising. It is also a great area for beginners with easily accessed nursery slopes at Mont d'Arbois and numerous green and gentle blue slopes. For expert skiers, Megève is an ideal base to enjoy the 13 resorts (including Chamonix and Argentière) covered by the Ski-Pass Mont Blanc. The off-piste is far less skied than in most of the other Mont Blanc resorts and the area through the trees towards La Princesse provides superlative powder skiing after a fresh snowfall, as does Côte 2000. Two of the three areas are connected at their bases by cable car (Mont d'Arbois and Rochebrune). Rochebrune offers arguably the most attractive runs in the area in a delightful tree-lined whilst the vast Mont dArbois area links to Saint-Gervais. The development The newly built development is composed of 70 units ranging from 1 to 4 bedroom apartments with terraces. The residence is at a walking distance from the centre of Megeve and has an easy access to the ski runs and chair lifts. The properties are sold furnished and decorated to a high standard with a fitted kitchen and appliances. Prices: From €200,000 Yield: 3% with 3 weeks of personal use Completion: December 2007 Services include: - Swimming pool - Fitness room - Sauna - Jacuzzi - Steam room
