Our house is 1/2 of a large 100 years old farmhouse, close to the center of Veigy-Foncenex: a small village with 2600 inhabitants between Thonon and Geneva.  The house has been renovated with charm, keeping the character of the farmhouse alive with exposed original stones, bare thick stone walls, decorated tiles, alcoves and a lovely snug room with fireplace. 

This is a large family house, with 4 'generous' bedrooms (between 18-24m²) on the 2nd floor with parket floors and great mountain views, 2 bathrooms with toilet (one on ground and one on 2nd floor), a study, an attic on the top floor,  a charming fully equiped kitchen with pantry and seperate washing area, large living/dining area of around 40m² with access to terras and a seperate comfortable small 'snug' room with fireplace. Veigy-Foncenex is very well located for people that woud like to live in the countryside, yet not too far away from the center and lake of Geneva and the skislopes. We live also in the middle of a large French wine region, with some excellent wines produced by Chateau de Crest in Jussy, a small village next to us. We are also very close to a City-Green countryclub and there are lovely hiking and jogging places right from our house ... and did we also mention the French restaurants nearby?

The house is oil heated, programmable centrally with wall mounted radiators. Total fuel consumption costs around 1,200€ per year. The outside walls have recently been painted and a new roof fitted in 2006. There is also an outside automatic watering system for the garden flowers, plants and trees. All windows are double glaced . Three out of the four bedrooms have a fitted cupboard. Overall, the house is in a very good condition with low maintenance and running costs.
