The renowned beaches of Honfleur, Deauville and Trouville are reachable in less than an hour by car. Rouen, famous for its connection with Joan of Arc as well as its Medieval architecture is 40 km away. Access to the new motorway linking Dieppe to the South West of France is only a couple of km to the East of the town. A rural feeling permeates the town, yet Brionne provides both locals and visitors with all kind of amenities : well-stocked food shops, twice-weekly market, several restaurants, a library and a swimming pool; tennis courts, horse riding, sailing, mini-golf and keep-fit facilities are found around the lake opposite the property. Trains to Paris stops at the towns railway station, and the Tourist Information office provides information on the historical sites and leisure facilities in the vicinity. One of the best known nearby sites is the Abbaye du Bec-Hellouin, where classical concerts are given in summer; another is the Arboretum of the Chateau dHarcourt, second in size in the whole of France, with over 400 exotic and indigenous species.
