The basic structures are sound, and have been well treated (indeed the house has won an accolade from one of France's historical momuments associations). It seems the place used to house those who accompanied the grander guests who were put up in the chateau up the hill : coachmen, servants, stable boys (perhaps a few unstable ones as well). Now it needs to be given again its former grandeur.
