The property is located in the Lieuvin. A region of the Eure department of Normandy known for its historical towns and villages set amidst
glorious unspoilt scenery of typical Norman thatched and timbered houses. The village in which the property is located boasts a 12th
century church and a red brick fort-like farm dating back to the
Middle Ages.

The area includes the neighbouring villages of Saint Georges du Vièvre and Lieurey both within five minute drive through charming country roads meandering through pastureland. At a 15 km distance is Pont Audemer, a favourite shopping place for the locals. Once a river port, Pont-Audemer is a town still with a lot of style, graced by canals, colourful backstreets and old timbered houses clustered around a 11th – 16th century Gothic church reputed for its series of stained
glass windows.

Within a 35 km radius delightful rides lead to the Normandy beaches and the seaside resorts of elegant Deauville and picturesque Honfleur.
Deauville is home to the annual American film festival of France,
Honfleur being the inspiring muse to landscape artists from all over the country and the world. Also this part of the Eure Department particularly suitable for hiking, biking and horse riding (several horse farms and horse riding facilities in the area) by well marked paths and drives all the year round.

Close by the property kayaking and canoeing facilities can be reached via country roads winding though stretches of beech and oak trees, rolling fields and lush green valleys where, in late summer and autumn, berries are there for a bountiful picking.

The village (1 km) has a basic provision shop, bar and restaurant.
