We are an independent bilingual French estate agency based in Chailand, Mayenne, North-West France. We provide a friendly service with local knowledge and help throughout the property buying and selling process.

One big advantage that is having a very positive effect for buyers, is that Agence Thom has one of the lowest agency commission rates for agencies specialising in international sales, resulting in savings for it’s customers, something we believe differentiates Agence Thom. Secondly, Jane and the team also include additional services such as providing assistance opening your first French bank account, arranging utilities, insurance and, if required, introduce you to mortgage brokers, currency exchange professionals and local artisans (for any works required) as part of the service with no additional charges. A friendly helping hand even after the house purchase is complete.

For our customers’ peace of mind Agence Thom holds a Carte Professionnelle registered with the Chamber of Commerce in the Department of Mayenne and is a Member of the SNPI (Professional Association of Estate Agents in France) with all necessary insurances required to run an estate agency in France. All sales transactions are undertaken with the support of a Notaire (“Acts on behalf of the State and is appointed by the Minister of Justice, and the fact that a deed is drawn up by a French notaire is a guarantee of its legality and authenticity”.)
