The house is near Prades, 5 mins drive to the well managed village of Taurinya, with a Church, Shop, award winning Brasserie and a small kindergarten school. Formerly, a mining town with many walking trails around the village, river and nearby hills. Excellent for mountain biking, walking and longer hikes to Canigou (highest peak in the region 2,800m).

The region sites between the beaches and the ski resorts both approx. 40 mins in either direction.

The property has three double bedrooms, the upstairs with en-suite and private balcony. There is a bathroom on each floor and an additional separate WC on the first floor. Upper floor has a large spacious lounge area with two french windows to a wrap around balcony with bbq area and views to mountains,11C Abbey and valley.

Positioned on the edge of the village and a short walk to the Tabac, Brasserie and village games area. The village benefits recently from 4G mobile phone reception as well as the Internet and will have optic fibre cable in the summer, perfect for remote working and access to streaming channels, TV, films.

The house is close to main walking routes RN10 and RN01 that traverse the Pyrénées. Excellent river walks to old 11C Abbey and ancient mines, plus numerous local trails.

The village is near to a large local Spa town with cafes and a municipal swimming pool having a large pool and kids pool plus slides.

This has been my family holiday home for 17 years, we have enjoyed the French house in the sun for many summers. Possibility, to include items of furniture, washing m/c etc., plus 4x4 Jeep.
