It nestles under the hills which define the frontier with Spain, and is only 5 miles from the A9 - Barcelona 2hours- and although close to the sea it avoids the crowds on the coastal plain. The town is surrounded by peach, cherry and nectarine orchards, and fields of mimosa. There is even a swimming and boating lake with small cafe a mile from the Intermarche supermarket.
