The property remained in the same family until family circumstances meant it was left to fall apart in the 1980s. Used as a hospital by the Germans in the War, the matriarch of the family was in occupation still.

Woods on the doorstep, shops, cycling, boating and fishing 5 km away and the Bayeux tapestry and Caen Museum 45 minutes. The beaches and Mt St Michel a little farther.

There are two separate houses close to one another, each with three bedrooms but the Manoir almost twice the size. Each have lofts with windows that have not been exploited. New roof on each house, new wiring and plumbing but the old character retained.

Open fires, wood burners, a pellet stove in the Manoir with bottled gas central heating in the Lodge along with a wood burning cooker and wood burner. The property is self sufficient in wood and much is aged and dry.

The property is set in 7 acres. There is a large garden and protected circle of trees around the main lawn. There is also now a vegetable garden and gardener's hut.

As to position, 40 minutes from the port and the landing beaches, Bayeux, easily accessible Mt St Michel, Deauville, Honfleur 75 minutes from the western beaches and sea food, 5 minutes from the River Orne, kayaking, swimming.

Forest walks on the door step cycle path nearby, weekly markets all around.
