Moulins-Engilbert is a small town, nestling at the gateway to the Morvan National Park in Burgundy. Here there are all the shops, restaurants and services one would expect to find in a small town -  banks, supermarket, newsagent and general stores, bakers, a butcher, cafés/bars, pharmacies, florist, hairdressers and a builders merchant. Services include a doctors’ surgery, health centre and a veterinary practice. The town is home to the museum of the Charolais cattle breed and a weekly livestock market is also held on the outskirts of the town. There is also a monthly street market selling clothing, footwear, vegetables, fruit, cheeses and much more.





Routes out of the town lead you into picturesque rolling countryside which very much resembles the Derbyshire Peak District in England. The well-known spa town of Saint Honoré les Bains, attracting large numbers of visitors keen to take the waters and gamble in the Casino, is just a 10 minute drive away.
