Maison De Maitre with Charming Courtyard and Far Reaching Views

Description

This 17thcentury Maison de Maitre is situated in a popular yet quiet rural ‘Landaise’ village and not far from the historic medieval town of Saint Sever.

The house was built in the 17thcentury with certain elements of that period still remaining such as the elaborate wood paneling found in both the front and rear salons. There is also a beautiful stone fireplace, now restored, and also from the same period. Other features include wonderful ‘tomette’ floor tiles, decorative fireplaces and an elegant staircase.

The accommodation is spread over two floors with the kitchen, two salons, bureau and a third salon, presently used as a workshop space. The three spacious bedrooms are upstairs along with the comfortably sized bathroom. It must be noted that there is ample space in the third bedroom for creating an ‘en-suite’ bathroom. In addition to that there is also the potential to convert the 50m2 attic into further accommodation.

The exterior space is made up of a delightful courtyard at the front of the property and a charming garden with views out across the Pines of the Landes forest to the rear. Saint Sever 9kms, Dax 36kms, Biarritz 110kms and Bordeaux 143kms.
