Property Description

For Sale, my beautiful house in Charante Maritime, France. A four bedroomed, Pavillion style house built specifically in the 1960s to the high standards and style of the previous owner, with large rooms and a downstairs that can be accessed separately and used as a granny flat/teenage apartment. The whole stands on 3000 m2 of land, a parcel of which (the orchard at 1500m2) can be sold/built on separately, with its own gated access.
Our holiday home for the last 12 years, we have tried to maintain the 'french style' and looks. Therefore, no double-glazing, modern english kitchen or bathrooms, but in very good decorative order with the outside completely repainted in April 2016.
On the first floor there is a very large light filled lounge with french windows, cornices on the ceiling and with double glass doors giving access to the lobby and another door with access to the dining room and kitchen. Both the lounge and dining room have french doors with access to the first floor balcony. All windows and doors are hardwood with exterior roll down hardwood shutters for added security. The kitchen is not modern, but more than adequate with belfast sink, new electric fan oven and hob. The bedrooms and lounge have lovely parqued floors while the rest is beautiful marble tiles.
The first floor also includes two very large bedrooms, a large bathroom with bath, sink and bidet and a separate toilet. There are built in wardrobes to the front bedroom. The passage to the bedrooms also includes a cupboard for outdoor coats/boots and access to the 'sou sol' (down stairs).
On the ground floor there are two double bedrooms, both attached to the shower room and toilet that lies between them. A separate 'Chauffage' (warm room) which includes the hot water heater; oil central heating boiler, sink and room for cooker and fridge. It also has a built in welsh dresser.
