More comprehensive supermarket shopping is available within a 10 or 15 minute drive. The village is also a centre for artists and has a lively calendar of cultural events. 

Many outdoor sports are available locally including tennis, golf, horse riding, boating, walking, kayaking, cycling and paragliding. Thanks to the effects of the Gulf Stream, the region enjoys the highest number of sunshine hours on the Atlantic coast and that, coupled with its glorious sandy beaches, makes it a very popular destination with tourists.
