The house is situated in a small hamlet with the improbably long name of Bonneville-et-Saint-Avit-de-Fumadières.... Feel free to use the abbreviated form of Bonneville!  The hamlet is in an area of lovely countryside within the triangle between Vélines, Montcaret and Villefranche-de-Longchat. 





Five mins from the house, in Vélines you’ll find a boulangerie, a bar and a mainline train-station that goes directly into central Bordeaux.  Villefranche is probably where you would aim for to pick up your provisions.  A very pretty little bastide town, there is a bank, post office and some lively bars and restaurants.  Tuesday is market day and there is also a lovely annual Christmas market.
