Aime est un très joli village situé dans la vallée de la Tarentaise en contre bas du domaine skiable de La Plagne, entre Moûtiers et Bourg St Maurice.

La Plagne est la station de sport d'hiver la plus proche d’Aime et possède plus de 120 pistes. Le village est aussi proche de la très populaire station des Arcs qui n’est qu’à quelques minutes grâce au téléphérique le Vanoise Express qui relie les deux domaines skiables. Tous les villages du domaine de La Plagne offrent un accès facile les uns aux autres et proposent de nombreuses animations et activités en dehors du ski et du snowboard, comme le bowling, la randonnée, le parapente, le quad et bien plus encore. All the villages in La Plagne have good access to one another and contain many other activities aside from skiing and snow boarding. These include bowling, walking trails, hang-gliding, quad biking, gym/fitness training, paint balling and even bobsleighing.
Aime is also adjacent to the main route into Bourg St Maurice, Les Arcs, La Rosière, Tignes and Val D’Isère.

The closest international airports are at Lyon, Grenoble and Geneva, with Chambery an option during the alpine season. Aime also has a TGV station.
