It is adjacent to the larger and busier town of Moûtiers, which is known as the gateway to the 3 Valleys ski resorts. Aigueblanche is also within a short drive of Brides les Bains, Bozel, and Paradiski.
Moûtiers is known as the gateway to the 3 Valleys ski resorts, and also has links to Paradiski and Valmorel. It is an attractive and interesting town that has many historical and cultural features, with the River Isère flowing through its centre.
The town benefits from a pleasant climate and features snow in the winter and glorious sunshine in the summer. There are many leisure activities to enjoy, apart from the alpine sports in the winter, including swimming (outdoor and indoor), mini golf, rafting and other white-water sports. There are hot springs in the nearby spa town to be enjoyed too, and there are numerous festivals held in and around town throughout the year.
All the major international airports are within a couple of hours and the TGV goes into Moûtiers with a special ‘ski train’ linked to Eurostar from England available from Jan 1st until the end of the alpine season.
