The house is in a country setting close to the villages of Coustellet and Cabrieres d'Avignon.

Coustellet is the crossroads of the Luberon, with many shops and restaurants, bank, supermarket and other amenities. It is also the venue for the exceptional Sunday morning farmers' market. Coustellet has both a primary school and a secondary school.

Cabrieres is quieter and is a more typically charming Luberon village. It has a bakery, grocery and restaurant, as well as a primary school.

The famed hill-top villages of the Luberon - Menerbes, Bonnieux, Gordes, Roussillon, etc. - are all close by.
