Sliding doors open into a large lounge/dining room that has French windows to three aspects and is focussed around a wood burning stove set within a stone fireplace.
There is a further reception room on the ground floor that is currently used as a study, however if required it could provide a comfortable ground floor bedroom.
The dining kitchen opens onto a south facing terrace which is nicely shaded in the summer thanks to the ancient woodland to the rear. At the head of the staircase is a galleried landing off which are four generously sized bedrooms and a family bathroom with both a bath and shower cubicle. The master bedroom also has an ensuite shower room.
Within the grounds is a 10m by 6m, salt-water swimming pool surrounded by a wooden deck and overlooking the woodland scenery. In addition to the lawns surrounding the house, there is also a separate section of woodland just 50 metres to the south – great for providing your own firewood!
The house is located just a 10 minute drive from a village which has a convenience store, bakery, butcher, post office and pharmacy. It is a similar distance to the market town of Piégut-Pluviers which hosts the largest, weekly outdoor market in the Perigord Vert. The international airport in Limoges is just one hour away whilst the TGV high-speed rail line can be accessed in Angouleme within 45 minutes.
