This elegant Château, dating originally from the 16th century, lies in the heart of Gascon countryside on 20 acres of garden and woodland, and offers fabulous accommodation spread over three areas: the Main House, the Pigeonnier and the Apartment. The 3 units are rented separately, but can also be rented as one. Château Lagahe has a romantic and homely feel, and is the perfect holiday retreat for family gatherings and quality time with friends - there is plenty of room for all, and lots of outdoor space for children to play in.

The main building: The Château .
Approached up a sweeping drive through leafy woodland, you enter the Château through an enchanting planted courtyard, which is the heart of the property and around which the accommodation is arranged.

The Main House
The entrance door opens into an impressive hall. Walking through an inner hallway you'll find the kitchen (with a door opening onto the courtyard) and utility area. The kitchen leads to a large, light and comfortable drawing room with dining area, with French windows to the courtyard. There is also a second living room on the ground floor with a TV and DVD.

Directly off the main hall is a single bedroom (with en-suite shower room) and the downstairs w/c. A door through the 16th century tower leads you to a study, and on to a delightful double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and French windows opening onto the courtyard.

The magnificent staircase brings you to two large double bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, and one with en-suite shower room.

The Château sits in lovely grounds with mature trees offering plenty of shade, a 'potager' filled with vegetables and fruit, and ample space for children to enjoy the many games available (Wendy house, trampoline, table tennis ….). The well maintained lawns, with superb views over the countryside, are perfect for outdoor activities – a good game of cricket perhaps? The pleasant swimming pool area is secure for children and has a large patio which benefits from sun for most of the day.

This Château has been tastefully renovated to a high standard, and many original features of the building have been retained. Despite its size it offers comfort and intimacy, and the opportunity to appreciate Gascon living at its finest.
