3rd floor: Large attic, roof structure of solid oak beams. Plumbing, electricity and central heating were installed in 2000. The oil fired boiler feeds 24 radiators with thermostats and produces domestic hot water for the entire house. The building has been insulated.

The secluded park of around 2200m2 has old chestnut, linden, elm and persimmon trees. There is an abundance of English and French roses, perennials, etc. Form part of the informal garden. Roses and clematis cover the iron arcade leading to the 17th century pavilion. The pavilion has a roof of stone tiles and one of the last existing oak beam “umbrella” roof structures of the region. There are 2 wells, providing water for the park. The former coach house and stables can be converted into a “maison d’amis” or Gîte. All mains have been installed.

A long stone shed at the bottom of the park houses logs and garden tools. There is the possibility for a future walled vegetable garden or swimming pool and garage. This area is accessible via a small back lane.

Great care and thought went into the restoration of the building. Plaster and lime walls were done in the old way, old bricks, stone floors, oak floors – all have been saved and restored. The entire façade of the château has been re-pointed and joined with lime and special sand, leaving the original stones apparent. Old “fish scales” slates cover the well preserved roof.
