Pouzauges is located south of the Loire Valley, north of Bordeaux/La Rochelle, an hour inland from Atlantic Coast beaches and only a few hours from Paris. It is also only 10 minutes drive away from the famous historic theme park Le Puy du Fou.

The house can sleep up to six people. It is located in centre ville, just a few doors up from the main shopping square, the best boulangerie and pizzeria/ creperie in town and one of two 12th century churches in the village and the remnants of the castle which belonged to the family of Bluebeard's wife is up the road.
