The house is situated in the pretty medieval village of Argenton Les Vallees. It is totally complete and fully equipped, ready to move straight in, or use as a weekend and holiday retreat.
Nearest airport is Poitiers, one hour away, but Nantes, La Rochelle and Tours are not much further. However, we generally find it easier just to use the Eurotunnel, it’s an easy 5 ½ hour drive (sticking to the speed limit!), mainly autoroute.
Annual expenses are: , 2 taxes: fonciere and habitation about 600 euros pa, insurance about 250 euros pa broadband, electric and water are about 20 euros each a month. Insurance and broadband could be cheaper if you shop around.
If you’re looking for a cheap, complete low maintenance get away, we think that you’d be hard pressed to find better value.
In Argenton Les Vallees you are completely self-sufficient, with all facilities being within easy walking distance, including a large Shopi supermarket, which stocks everything!
