Picardy Gites Apartments and Cottages
Picardy is still a really "wild" region of France. Many accomodations can be found in the countryside as well as cities on the seafront. Picardy islands are also a must to discover. Here are the different types of accomodations you could find:
- Gites de France
The Gites de France label is the most famous and serious label for Gites in France. 430 of them are distributed between the 3 departments: Aisne, oise and Somme. The choice is wide as each has its own particularities: landscaped garden, bunkhouse, children-friendly... Though really authentic, they usually offer modern conveniences like wireless Internet and television for instance.
- Cottages in Picardy
Many cottages can be found, either to rent or buy, just minutes from the sea and even closer, some metres from the beaches and not only inland. They are fully furnished and will allow you to completely enjoy your holiday thanks to a snug life environment. Besides, prices are not very expensive, even on the coastline.
- Rent or buy an apartment
Apartments are mainly found in big cities and their average area is 67sq m. They are generally located close to all amenities and public transport. Some are quite recent while others are very ancient but renovated in keeping the traditional Picard vein. They can be a good alternative for those who cannot afford a house.
