The French Atlantic Coast Presentation

From Brest to Hendaye, the French Atlantic Coast boasts beautiful views, proper to each region (Brittany, Vendée, Basque Country,…). The outstanding beaches of the Western France with high quality water and facilities, the incredible dunes (Pilat dune) and the historical cities like Bordeaux and La Rochelle offer a wide range of landscapes and tourism activities.

Main Departments: Finistère, Morbihan, Loire-Atlantique, Vendée, Charente-Maritime, Gironde, Landes and Pyrénées-Atlantiques (in the following regions: Brittany, Pays de la Loire, Poitou-Charentes and Aquitaine).
Atlantic Coast map

From the Brittany marshlands and oyster farmings to the authentic Cognac and Pineau productions in Poitou Charentes, without missing the authentic churches and abbeys in lovely villages such as Chauvigny and Saintes, your visit of the French Atlantic coast will be busy!

But fortunately, the western coastline also provides beautiful and relaxing beaches (most of them are granted the Blue Flag label), and the Aquitaine region has delightful foods and wines on offer.

It is not surprising then that the French Atlantic Coast real estate has been one of the most expensive property markets in France. However, ten years after their continuous growing (+ 120%) housing prices' increase seems to slow down.

So, if you fancy a long stay in the West of France to benefit from the ocean coastline, it is certainly time to invest!
