Aquitaine Airports

In the last decade, more and more people have been travelling to Aquitaine. This has led to a big development of the Aquitaine airports.

Here is a presentation of the most important airports in the Aquitaine region:

Bordeaux - Mérignac airport:

The Bordeaux-Merignac airport is the first most important airport in the Aquitaine region and 8th in France. It has great potential for future years and is promising to become one of the major Europeen airports.

Biarritz-Anglet-Bayonne airport:

This is the second biggest airport in Aquitaine thanks to its number of passengers per year who fly through this airport. It is nevertheless limited in future years as it is located in an urban area and can no longer increase in size.

Pau-Pyrénées airport:

This is the third biggest airport in Aquitaine and is in danger of being outrun by the TGV. Indeed, experts wonder if the shortened traveling times for the TGVs from Paris will jeopardise the necessity of this airport.

Other big Aquitaine airports include Agen-La-Garenne, Bergerac-Roumanière and Périgueux-Bassillac airports.
