Centre Gites, Apartments and Cottages
Known as 'the Garden of France', the Centre region is still a preserved destination with worldwide famous castles. Whether to discover its rich historic heritage, to taste its local produce or to enjoy its very green settings, a stay in the area is never disappointing.
Here are the different types of accomodations you can find:
- Gites de France
The Gites de France label has full support of the French Ministry for Tourism for its quality. It is the largest guest-house network in Europe meeting the special needs of holidaymakers seeking authentic and convivial holidays in natural settings. In the Centre region they are mostly located in quite rural areas.
- Cottages in Centre
This region mainly offers detached properties situatwed either at towns outskirts or in lovely neighbouring hamlets. Houses in the area are traditionally stone-built and former farms are becoming more and more trendy. Some ancient troglodyte cave dwellings are also to be found.
- Rent or buy an apartment
Apartments in the Centre area are really cheap: €1,811 /sq whilst the national average is more than twice higher. In town centres they are usually pretty ancient with high ceilings but tend to be more modern if located in the outskirts. They are however scarce in rural areas.
