Burgundy Road Network and Travel

Some of the main French roads go through the Burgundy region. The central Borgogne is indeed served by a wide web of motorways and national roads which represents 6.4% of the national road network.

Because of its central position in France, the Burgundy region is a great place to take a break when driving to the South of France for holidays for instance. Why not just stop there for a few days and taste the outstanding local wines?

You will for sure enjoy driving on the well-preserved Burgundian roads. The French bison-futé (online and tv guide) will keep you posted about the local traffic as it can be really heavy on some days: roads are given colours according to the density of the traffic. Thanks to this information, you will be able to know if it is a good - and safe - day to travel on the French roads.
