Further west in Yvelines, towns such as Versailles and Saint-Germain-en-Laye are renowned for their historic charm, prestigious schools, and proximity to important cultural and natural landmarks including the world-famous Palace of Versailles and extensive surrounding parklands. Other popular locations include Rueil-Malmaison, Sceaux, and Vincennes, which combine a village-like atmosphere with quick access to the capital. The region is also home to remarkable historic landscapes such as Fontainebleau, famous for it's magnificent Château and it's vast Forest that is one of the largest and most beautiful natural areas near to Paris. The eastern side of the region has experienced significant development around Disneyland Paris and Val d'Europe in Marne-la-Vallée.
