Why should I advertise on French-Property.com?
French-Property.com was the first French property portal (established in 1995). We are the leading international brand for French property and have an established and loyal customer base. We are a family-run business and focus on providing good customer support to help make the process as easy as possible. Our staff are happy to help and offer assistance in both French & English. We have over 85,000 registered members with over 32,000 members receiving regular property emails with property matching their requirements. Our website is well indexed for the major search terms and we have an expanding network of websites to increase the online visibility of your property. Do you charge commission or any other fees?
No. If you sell your property via French-Property.com we will not charge any additional fees or commission. All of our advertising plans are charged monthly or six-monthly as part of an automatically renewing subscription. An advertising plan is valid for a single property and the amount we charge does not change depending on the value, type or size of the property being advertised. Is there a free trial for new advertisers?
Unfortunately we do not offer free trials. If you are looking to trial our advertising services we would recommend choosing one of our monthly advertising plans. Details about our plans and pricing can be found on our private property advertising page.
How can I pay for an advert?
We only accept online card payments. We use Stripe to securely process card payments and we accept all major credit and debit cards. All of our advertising plans are charged monthly or six-monthly as part of an automatically renewing subscription. Can I pay by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque or over the telephone?
Unfortunately not. We only accept online card payments and we are unable to accept payment by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque or over the telephone. Do you charge additional fees to modify an advert once it has been published?
No, we do not charge additional fees. You can change your advert details and photos in your advert free of charge at any time.
How can I cancel my advertising?
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancelling will stop your plan from renewing automatically at the end of your current billing period (either a monthly or six monthly period depending on your chosen plan). Your advert can stay online for the remainder of your current billing period and it will be automatically moved offline at the end of the billing period when your subscription stops.

If you subscribe to our Premium or Deluxe advertising plans your advert will be advertised on BuyaGite.com as long as the proeprty has either gite / separate guest accommodation or the potential to create gite / separate guest accommodation.

If you subscribe to our Premium or Deluxe advertising plans your advert will be advertised on French-Luxury-Property.com as long as the property is priced over €400,000 and deemed to be sufficiently luxurious.
How do I advertise my property on LakesFrance.com?
If you subscribe to our Premium or Deluxe advertising plans your advert will be advertised on LakesFrance.com as long as the property is either a lake or a property with a lake.
How do I advertise my property on French-Investment-Property.com?

If you subscribe to our Deluxe advertising plan your advert will be promoted to our Social Media audience of over 50,000 followers across Facebook & Instagram.
When promoting a property on social media we do not display any personal details and we link through to your advert on French-Property.com. If you would prefer not to have your property featured on Social Media, please email us once your advert is published.
Please note that we do not display any personal details on Social media and all social media promotion is scheduled in advance and we aim to promote all Deluxe adverts approximately once every 3 months.

Yes, we offer translation from French to English or vice versa. Professional translation by one of our team is provided if you subscribe to our Deluxe advertising plan, . Automatic translation is provided if you subscribe to our Premium advertising plan.
Can I link to my own website?
If you subscribe to our Deluxe advertising plans you can include a clickable link to your own website in the advert description.
Am I entering into an exclusive agreement or can I advertise my property elsewhere?
Private advertisers are not entering into an exclusive agreement. Your advert will not prevent you from advertising the property elsewhere.
Can I also market my property with an estate agent?
Yes. You can also use an estate agent to market your property at any time. Your advertising with French-Property.com is not on an exclusive basis and it can be used to supplement existing estate agency marketing.
Can I advertise my leaseback or viager property?
It is possible to advertise leaseback & viager properties for sale in France. Please contact us if you have any queries.

Do you display my personal contact details (names, tel. numbers, email address) on my advert?
No, we do not display any of your contact details on you advert (names, telephone numbers, addresses etc.). Potential buyers can use the contact form displayed on each advert to send their enquiries directly to you by email. If you would prefer to include your contact details on the advert you can include them in the additional details section of the description.

No, French-Property.com is not an estate agent. We are a property portal for private owners, real estate agents and property developers to promote their properties to a global Francophile audience.

How do I begin advertising?

Who receives the enquiries and arranges viewings?
All enquiries made about your property will be sent directly to your email address. All enquiries are stored on in our system and are accessible online in your account. All subsequent correspondence, including organising bookings / viewings needs to be organised by yourself.
Can I change the advert details and photos once my advert is online?
Yes you can. Each subscription is valid for a single property but you can make changes to the advert at any time once it is online. To edit your advert, simply log back into your account and navigate to the advert you have already created. Select the option to edit your property, from here you can change any of the details on the advert. There is no additional cost for making amendments to your advert. How can I attract interest to my advert?
We always advise our customers to try and create the most thorough advert possible to make the most of their advertising. If you require any advice with the creation of your advert please contact us.
Can you assist with the creation and management of my advert?
Yes. We pride ourselves on our level of customer service provided and offer support in both French & English. If you experience difficulty creating or editing your advert, please contact a member of our support team from our contact us page.
Can I advertise a property without a DPE and GES energy performance rating?
DPE/GES energy performance ratings are required for all adverts hosted within France.
As French-Property.com is based in the UK, we have been informed by the French authorities that our advertisers do not have to include this information.
However, all vendors have to undertake full diagnostic surveys (Dossier de Diagnostic Technique Immobilier) before selling or renting. For more information about statutory surveys please see our French property survey Guide.

We do not display any personal information (name, address, telephone number, email address) on adverts.
If you would like to display these details on your advert you can include them in the additional details section of the description.

Do you provide advert performance statistics?
Yes. You can view daily and monthly advert statistics for property views, saves and enquiries.
To view your statistics, simply login and select "My Properties" from the left hand menu and then click on the "statistics" button displayed alongside your advert title.

Do you organise property viewings?
No. We do not organise or partake in property viewings. You need to liaise directly with potential buyers to arrange viewings. If you have already instructed an estate agent in France you can continue to use their services for visits and key holding.

How many photos can I upload?
You can upload unlimited photos with the Deluxe advertising plans. The Standard and Premium advertising plans only include up to 10 photos.
Can you provide a valuation of my property?
No. Unfortunately we do not offer property valuations. We recommend getting a professional valuation from a local estate agent or surveyor. It is also worth researching similar properties for sale in your local area.
Can I advertise multiple properties?
Yes, you can publish multiple adverts at any time. Please note that each advert must advertise a single property for sale.
Can I pause or suspend an advert subscription?
Yes. It is possible to suspend an advert.
All you need is move the advert offline and cancel your subscription.
Then when you are ready to recommence advertising you can reactivate your subscription and move the advert back online.
Please note that once an advert is moved offline all of the advert details and photos are stored on our system.
