Located in one of the "Plus Beaux Villages de France" along the Loire River. It is a perfect base to explore all sites, castles, and villages of this beautiful region. The towns of Saumur and Chinon are 15 and 20 minutes away.
A very famous antique market takes place in the village every first Sunday of the month; the food market is on Sunday.
You can walk to 3 restaurants, a bar, a butcher, a bakery, and a small store.
Access
TGV train to Paris and CDG from Tours. 15 minutes drive to Saumur and 20 to Chinon, small towns with all amenities and a rich history. Many castles and gardens are within a 10-minute to 1-hour drive. The abbey of Fontevraux for memories of Alienor d'Aquitaine and Henri Plantagenet is a ten minutes, Chinon for Joan of Arc and Charles VII history.
The region is also famous for its wines, whites, reds and bubbly and even the mellow wines of the Layon.
Rent a bike, electric or not to ride along the Loire and the Vienne or in the vineyards.
