We are selling our furnished 4 bedroom Longere in Mayenne. It is a beautiful stone Longere set in this beautiful part of the Pays de Loire, which has lots of original features including stone walls and original beams.It sits in its own fenced and gated grounds of around 1500 square metres, mostly laid to lawn, with some established shrubs, trees, a newly paved patio area and a gravelled driveway. It benefits from privacy, but is not isolated, with a number of other similar properties scattered around the hamlet, which is made up of both French and British residents. The nearest village is about 2km away, and has two restaurants, a charcuterie, bakery, convenience store, pharmacy etc.
The house is on two floors, and has an attached barn and workshop which is fully useable and in very good condition also. This could easily be converted as extra accommodation. The accomodation is light and spacious, and compromises of the following:
Ground floor:
Good sized entrance hall through glazed french doors with coat stand/ small sitting area/storage etc. Through to original kitchen- fully working with electric integrated oven/gas/electric hob, washing machine, fridge/freezer, fitted cupboards. There is an external door to the rear of the property where there is a further small grassed area, and an original ancient well, which we don't use as the house is on mains water.
Also off the entrance hall through a glazed door is the large living room, which has a tiled floor with rugs over, a large working log burning stove, french glazed doors leading out onto the gravelled area at the front of the property, and a staircase rising off. This room also has two large sofas, and a dining table and chairs, with lamps/etc. A glazed door leads from the living room to a good sized room which we have started to convert into a new kitchen.
