Ornolac-Ussat-les-Bains is a characterful French village in the Pyrénées situated on the outskirts of Tarascon-sur-Ariège, which offers supermarkets, boulangeries, bars, restaurants, heritage sites and other local services, as well as good rail links to the medieval town of Foix, and the vibrant cities of Toulouse and Barcelona. The area is world famous for prehistoric discoveries and caving systems, both of which have tourist attractions to discover these fascinating aspects. Easy access to local ski resorts at Ax les Thermes, and Andorra. There are also public swimming pools in nearby villages for particularly hot summer days.
Access
The house is just over one hour’s drive by major roads from either Toulouse or Carcassonne airports. Tarascon-sur-Ariège train station is just a 5 minute drive from Ornolac-Ussat-les-Bains, with free parking. Ax-les-Thermes ski resort is 20 minutes by car, and it is about one hour’s drive to the increasingly popular mountain resort of Pas de la Casa in Andorra, or the Haute Pyrénées and the Spanish border.
