We are located in an idyllic valley location, close to a small river. We are about 3-4 kms from the lovely old market town of Ceret, with its many art galleries, museums, cafes and restaurants, and popular Saturday maraket. We are about half an hour from Spain and the Mediterranean beaches. The foothills of the Pyrenees are on our doorstep. In fact, we are ideally situated between the mountains and the sea. Our proximity to the hills means that countless walks are on our door step. In fact, it is a walkers and bikers paradise. Ceret is at the gateway to the Vallespir - a region of great natural beauty. Rivers, gorges, flora and fauna abound. For those of an historical bent, it has much to offer.
Access
The airports serving this area are: Perpignan 40 mins; Beziers 75 mins; Carcassonne 90 mins, and Girona in Spain 55 mins. There is a regular train service to and from Perpignan. Local buses, too. Access to the Ceret area from the A9 autoroute is about 20 minutes from the house at exit 43. Next stop Spain!!
