Property Description
In a Xixth Century Stone Bearnaise House and Barn, Authentically Restored, Located in the Valley D'ossau with Views of the Pyrenees.
Summary
The house was built in 1872 and has been restored by ourselves retaining the original features where possible, such as the high ceilings and doors and the ancient "furniture". Downstairs there is a kitchen, lounge and dining room plus a separate studio with its own bathroom and access to the west facing garden. On the first floor there are 4 large bedrooms (one has an en-suite) and two other shower rooms with toilets. There is also a study room with a balcony. The attic provides a large living space with its own kitchen and shower room with toilets, plus there is a separate laundry room.
The large barn is next to the house (250m2 on the ground floor), currently used as a storage and workshop, but could provide a future expansion project to provide additional accommodation.
The huge garden(approximately (5000 m2) at the back provides a quiet retreat and is planted with a variety of fruit trees (apples, pears, cherry and kiwis) plus a Sichuan pepper tree, walnut trees and a large allotment.

Revenue Generation
We are open throughout the year as a bed and breakfast business ( room 1,2,4 & studio); very popular with the pilgrims who walk the Route de Compostelle; or for people on transit to Spain; weekend breaks ;o workers in the area. We do provide meals on request.
The Studio allows us to offer accommodation completely independent of the bed and breakfast business. (renting very well in summer time and with its own access)
Friday, Saturday and Sunday we fire up the wood burning oven and cook pizzas to take away which provides additional income and an additional source of commerce within the village.
