There are trains at Marmande as well (40 minutes) going to Bordeaux, also Toulouse, Marseille, and points East.
Bordeaux airport is 1 hour 40 minutes drive away, Toulouse slightly longer.
You can get to the Pyrenees in 3.5 hours, to the coast in 3 hours.
And of course the Dordogne river with all its many tourist attractions is only 40 minutes away.
