The wine from this region is of poor quality, hence its transformation into brandy.  It stands on the River Baïse, which at the time was considered almost a port.  You will find medieval cobbled streets, excellent restaurants  and lots of glorious sunshine.  The nearest international airport is at Toulouse (120kms).
