Agen has two important waterways which create a delightful ambience.  You see plenty of gaily coloured barges on the Canal du Midi, especially in the summer months.  Agen is easily accessible from the UK with flights to the airports of Bordeaux, Bergerac and Toulouse.  The TGV makes another great option, as there is a TGV station in the town itself.
