The house is situated in the pretty village of Azille, in the heart of the Minervois region. There are basic shops within walking distance, including an excellent bakery and a restaurant. There’s also a small weekly produce market. The closest supermarket is 5km away in La Redorte. 

For the summer months the nearby Lac de Jouarres is just a few minutes away and is the perfect place to have a dip and cool off. The Canal du Midi is also on the doorstep and a boat trip on this iconic waterway is the perfect way to explore this corner of France. 

The property is within easy reach of Carcassonne and Beziers, both of which have airports. Narbonne and and the mediterranean coast are about a 40min drive. The snow-capped mountains of the Pyrenees are visible from the terrace but take about an hour to get to.
