This pretty 3 bedroom cottage sits within a converted Monastery in the centre of the delightful market town of Vouvant. The property has a private roof terrace and courtyard as well as communal pool and 6 acres of private riverside grounds. The shops and restaurants in Vouvant are a few minutes walk. 

‘Le Monastere’ was converted into a series of cottages and apartments in 2004. The conversion has kept much of the original character of the ancient building, whilst introducing a bit of contemporary luxury. The complex has an excellent reputation locally and properties here don’t come up for sale very often.

Location: 
The medieval town of Vouvant is literally on the doorstep. The town has a good selection of shops, restaurants and an excellent weekly market. Vouvant is officially classified by the French government as one of the most beautiful villages in France.

Many outdoor sports are available locally including tennis, golf, horse riding, boating, walking, kayaking, cycling and paragliding. Thanks to the effects of the Gulf Stream, the region enjoys the highest number of sunshine hours on the Atlantic coast and that, coupled with its glorious sandy beaches, makes it the perfect holiday destination.
