Location

Le Teilleul is a lively little town with 2 banks, 2 boulangeries, butcher, supermarket, restaurants, bars, schools, doctor’s surgeries and a good weekly market.  There are also extensive recreational facilities in the area - lots footpaths to explore, fishing lakes, waterfalls, canoeing, an 18 hole golf course as well as the forest of St Sever.  

The popular market town of Saint Hilaire du Harcouët is also nearby. The town has one of the biggest markets in the area (held on a Wednesday morning) which takes over most of the town centre. The town has all amenities including some great restaurants, bars, and cafes. It also has a park with two adjoining lakes and an indoor pool with spa and water slide.  Mortain and Domfront are also well worth exploring

Major town in the area such as Caen, St Malo, St Lô, Falaise, Bayeau and Honfleur offer plenty of quirky streets with independent retailers and restaurants to sample.  The coast is just 45mins away and the world famous Mont St Michel a particular highlight for most visitors.  The St Malo and Caen ferry crossings are just 90mins away.
