Property Description
SKY000010 | Lovely ‘Cote 2000’ Chalet
Skyfall Property are proud to present this Chalet in the Cote 2000 region in Megeve, France.
This new chalet, located near the altiport and a few minutes by car from the centre of Megève, enjoys a superb panoramic view of Mont-Joly. It is located in a fairly exclusive and supervised residential area, called "Cote 2000” on the plateau of Mont d'Arbois.
Distributed on three levels, it has an area of approximately 260 m2: the entrance, fitted on the upper level, opens onto a large living room with a fireplace made of large round pebbles, which also includes a living area, a dining area, dining room and kitchen, separated by a simple counter that hides appliances; middle floor has four large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a cloakroom and a TV lounge. A beautiful hammam covered with small pebbles in slate grey tones, a ski room, the laundry room and the garage complete the package.
This is a chalet that reflects a slightly new design: its decoration is very clear and linear, in shades of grey, and combines innovative luxury with refinement and authenticity. The materials used for decoration are contemporary, with lots of wood, typical of the alpine world. Furnishings consist of a few antique pieces and many "made-to-measure," so as to obtain a balance between pieces; several alternating furs bring a touch of originality.
This same originality, we find in two rooms where the developers have created windows containing birch trunks and bleached pines, which generate a very special 'luminous table effect'. To achieve this effect a brush glaze was applied to the wood to give it shades of grey. The stone of the soil is emphasised by fur carpets: the latter, associated with the velvet and the cooked wool, also covers the sofas, while the curtains of the large windows are in wool net.
The end result is a very bright environment, which becomes a welcoming and original setting. The wide staircase that connects the different levels is stone but stainless steel parts have been associated, such as railing, for example, and this marriage creates an interesting and modern contrast.
