Interior fittings and decorations were created in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. At the end of the nineteenth century, a major redesign was carried out by the famous architect Honoré Vianne for the de Lesseps family in order to make the building more comfortable while accentuating its medieval character with a neo-Gothic style.
