This characterful, authentic and spacious house, built in stages, between the Xiv and Xvi centuries, was once the home of the illustrious poet Émile Roudié. It is still the property of a poet and art historian, who is the author of the poem "Conques la quest" which adorns the entrance and exit doors of the Camino de Santiago. Conques being a major stage of this journey.
The "Maison Roudié" has one of the few shops in the village, a large cellar with a well and an opening onto the street where the medieval craftsman (probably a shoemaker) elaborated, exhibited and sold his products.
Large rooms with harmonious proportions, high ceilings, large windows, old floors, woodwork and fireplaces, a large bright attic that would serve as a studio for an artist as well as to create additional bedrooms.
