12. Breast Screening in France

If you are a female aged between 50 and 74 years of age you are entitled to receive breast screening free of charge every two years.

Normally, once you have registered with the health system you and you are within the eligible age category you will receive a letter inviting you to undertake a mammography in your nearest screening centre. The address of your nearest centre will be given on the letter.

A copy of the results will be given to you as well as your doctor.
